After months of frustration during COVID, I was finally able to obtain approved city stamped plans for a garage conversion and immediately began the search for a contractor to complete the work. I had almost given up on finding a contractor until a friend referred True Blue.Until their referral, all contractors had their own vision of what my ADU needed to be which included changing plans and multiple revisions. Troy and his team listened to what I wanted and never pressured me to change a thing. They simply took measurements and offered me a quote which was definitely within my budget.The planning process went smoothly. From the inspection, materials, trades day, and the final contract I felt included and informed every step of the way. Troys team has amazing communication from emails to daily texts. The online portal was an outstanding tool to be able to view the daily tasks with photos and view the project over time. I appreciated that I could view progress as well as payment information anytime.The project unfortunately came to a pause due to additional requirements by the city, an addition NOT added previously to approved plans. This was a setback for both us and Troys team who continued to communicate with us on a daily basis. Once the city allowed the project to continue, Troys team got back to work and completed the ADU.I am beyond pleased with how it turned out. It’s everything I wanted from the materials to the final touches. Troys design team made the space so warm and comfortable. I wanted a “blank slate” with neutral colors and basic cabinets. I would definitely recommend Tru Blue to anyone that is looking for an honest and knowledgeable contractor.
